Responsibilities:

  • Track, assess, and report any RF spectrum regulatory actions related to Federal agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA)
  • Provide subject matter expertise to DOC/NOAA across various RF spectrum related topics and working groups
  • Participate and establish technical rules and procedures for spectrum sharing & spectrum coordination with federal agencies and international administrations
  • Assist regulatory and policy team in evaluating and conducting analysis on new rulemaking procedures and submissions
  • Conduct analysis pertaining to ITU WRC agenda items
  • Establish technical parameters and standards governing the use of each frequency band or specific service, if applicable
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of FCC rules, procedures, and rule-making processes
  • Knowledge of ITU-R Recommendations and Reports
  • Experience in coordination with Federal Agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis
  • Ability to use RF engineering tools (e.g., Visualyse) and MATLAB
  • Possess excellent written & communication skills in English
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the satellite & cellular telecommunications industry
  • 5+ years of experience in RF spectrum management engineering
  • US Citizen or Green card holder
  • Primary work environment is remote; however, domestic and/or international travel may be required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and a minimum of 5+ years of direct engineering experience
