You will draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, manage due diligence, and coordinate complex real estate transactions from inception through closing, potentially mentoring junior staff.

Job description

A well-established national law firm is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Finance Associate with at least three years of law firm experience to join its growing transactional real estate practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate finance matters as part of a collaborative team of experienced attorneys.

The associate will assist with the drafting, review, and negotiation of financing and ancillary transaction documents, conduct and manage legal due diligence, and support complex commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing. Responsibilities include analyzing ownership and organizational structures, reviewing title and survey materials, evaluating leases and other property-related agreements, and coordinating transaction execution among internal and external stakeholders. Depending on experience and business needs, the associate may also supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support professionals.

Qualified candidates should have experience in commercial real estate finance transactions and be comfortable managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to a variety of asset classes and lending structures is preferred. Candidates with experience working alongside institutional lenders, borrowers, investors, or other market participants will be viewed favorably. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in taking ownership of transactions, developing client relationships, and growing into a lead deal-management role.

Applicants must possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and communication skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment are required.
