Job summary

Akerman LLP's Los Angeles office seeks a Real Estate Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its flagship West Coast real estate transactions team.

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, financings, workouts, dispositions, and leasing matters across diverse asset classes, with excellent drafting, analytical, project management, and client service skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
• 2–5 years of experience in real estate transactions across acquisitions, financings, workouts, dispositions and leasing.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients through all stages of sophisticated real estate transactions, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, documentation and closing.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents with clients and counterparties.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with clients and teams to ensure smooth closings.
