Job summary

EU Design Consulting, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Project Structural Engineer to contribute to general structural engineering projects of various sizes, with emphasis on structural lumber, steel and concrete construction. The ideal candidate will assist on complex infrastructure projects including underground work and bridge rehabilitation.

The role involves applying sound engineering principles, performing calculations, and coordinating with CAD designers and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with structural concentration.
• Master of Science in civil/geotechnical or structural engineering preferred.
• 2-6 years of structural engineering experience.
• EIT certification.
• Ability to obtain PE licensure within 1 year of hire.
• Familiar with ASCE 7, ACI 318, NDS, AISC 360 and ACI 350.
• Finite element familiarity with SAP2000, Risa, RAM, STAAD Pro.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong management skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• AutoCAD familiarity preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US.

EU Design Consulting, a locally owned boutique firm specializing in structural engineering, heavy civil construction and design/program/construction management for complex projects is seeking a Mid-Level Project Structural Engineer to provide expertise on general Structural Engineering projects of various sizes. The successful candidate will have experience in structural lumber projects, structural steel and concrete construction. Experience with complex infrastructure projects including underground and bridge rehabilitation a plus.

Essential Duties

• Apply engineering principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments.
• Perform civil, geotechnical and structural engineering calculations and analysis using hand and computer-based tools.
• Assist in preparation of technical reports including written reports, preparation of tables, figures, drawings and instructing staff in final report production.
• Prepare details, mark-up drawings and plans, coordinate with CAD designers and other engineers in management of successful projects.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within 1-year of hire
• Familiar with design standards including ASCE 7, ACI 318, NDS, AISC 360 and ACI 350.
