Job summary

Dereaux Studio, a Los Angeles-based architecture and design practice focusing on high-end residential and hospitality projects, seeks Architectural Designers and/or Licensed Architects. You will contribute across all project phases, with strong emphasis on design development, construction documentation, and coordination with engineers and consultants.

Candidates should demonstrate proficient design visualization, accurate detailing, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of post-graduate professional experience, with at least 3 years in high-end custom residential and/or hospitality design
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• Strong Design Development and Construction Documentation skills
• Strong design iteration skills
• Experience coordinating with engineers and other project consultants
• Permitting experience
• Strong design and visualization skills
• Proficiency in Revit is essential
• Interest in interiors, with a strong sensibility for color, texture, materiality, and composition
• Hand sketching and design ideation skills are highly valued
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
• Experience across the full project lifecycle is valued
• Architectural licensure is a plus

Dereaux Studio is currently seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Architectural Designers and/or Licensed Architects to join our Los Angeles design studio. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical Design Development and Construction Documentation skills, experience coordinating with engineers and consultants, permitting experience, and strong design and visualization skills, with the ability to execute creative ideas across all phases of a project.

Our work is focused primarily on high-end custom residential and hospitality design, and we are particularly interested in candidates with meaningful experience in these project types.
