Job summary

Schlemmer in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, drive output, quality and safety, and manage production teams. You will optimize labour, materials, and equipment, implement lean processes, and partner with Supply Chain to ensure materials availability.

The role offers growth toward broader General Management over time. Strong leadership and communication are essential to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Strong production and manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience managing production teams and labour resources.
• Experience in Quality Control and production processes.
• Sound understanding of raw materials, stock and inventory management.
• Experience working with Supply Chain processes.
• Strong process improvement and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to implement and manage systems and processes.
• Experience with production cost control and reporting.
• Good understanding of OHS requirements.
• Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• A relevant technical, production or manufacturing qualification would be advantageous
• Fibreglass/composites industry experience would be highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production operations and oversee production teams

• Manage raw materials, stock and inventory levels to support uninterrupted production

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, output and operational efficiencies
• Manage production costs and provide regular reporting to management
• Take responsibility for Occupational Health & Safety within the production environment
• Monitor production performance and address delays, inefficiencies and operational challenges
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement across the production team

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Are you an experienced production professional with strong manufacturing and team management experience?

A growing organisation is looking for a Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day production function, ensuring efficient output, quality standards, resource management and operational performance.

This is a mid-level role suited to a hands‑on and organised individual who can manage production teams, improve processes and efficiencies, and ensure that production targets are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a broader General Management position over time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
