Job summary

ITAC is seeking a mid-level Process Engineer to design, specify, and evaluate process systems within the chemical processing industries. You will work on a multidisciplinary team through feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering.

Responsibilities include leading process engineering efforts, ensuring safety and operability, developing PFDs and P&IDs, and coordinating with vendors. A Bachelor's or Master’s in Chemical Engineering is required, with PE preferred and 7+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required or preferred.
• Professional Engineering registration is desirable.
• 7+ years of experience in design engineering or related field.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Independently apply knowledge of analysis, synthesis, and design of chemical processes.
• Maintain focus on process safety and operability throughout all design phases.
• Troubleshoot operating processes and develop sound engineering solutions.
• Lead process engineering efforts for assigned projects, track budget and schedule.
• Create and review PFDs and P&ID drawings and coordinate with vendors.
• Present designs to clients and discuss needs for modification.
