Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level Model Based Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of Next Generation Missile Defense system-level requirements. This position plays a key role in defining, analyzing, and managing requirements spanning the entire system life cycle - from concept development through testing and deployment.

Duties:

• Lead system-level requirements definition and traceability across multiple MDA and external programs.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using CAMEO Systems Modeler to create, integrate, and maintain a comprehensive multi-layered architecture.
• Model and document system components, behaviors, and interfaces across multiple agencies to support the Next Generation Missile Defense architecture.
• Capture, analyze, and validate functional and performance requirements to ensure mission success.
• Conduct trade-off analyses and assess system scalability and integration impacts.
• Maintain continuous traceability from mission objectives through test and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and external partners to ensure system alignment with strategic defense goals.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or MBSE (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proven experience in systems engineering supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
• Expertise with MBSE principles, SysML, and CAMEO Systems Modeler.
• Strong understanding of MDA system architectures, lifecycle processes, and verification/validation.
• Ability to translate high-level mission objectives into detailed technical requirements.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoDTop Secret with SCI eligibility clearance upon hire is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred. (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
