Orion Placement is seeking a talented Mid-Level M&A Associate Attorney to join our New York team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate transactional attorney looking to work on sophisticated public and private mergers and acquisitions.

In this role, you will represent sophisticated clients, draft and negotiate merger agreements, manage due diligence, and coordinate closings across practice areas, with mentorship and opportunities for advancement.

• Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, finance, tax, antitrust, and other practice areas.
• Advise clients on corporate governance and transaction-related legal considerations.
• Take ownership of meaningful deal responsibilities while continuing to develop your transactional expertise.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of corporate M&A transactional experience at a law firm.
• Experience handling public and private mergers and acquisitions.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex M&A transaction documents.
• Excellent transactional drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions and collaborate across practice areas.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and client-focused judgment.
• Experience at a reputable corporate law firm preferred.
• Strong academic credentials preferred.
