Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair a wide range of diesel-powered equipment across multiple makes and models. Work is conducted in a safety-focused team environment with a dynamic fleet including generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and heavy tools.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• 3–5 years mechanic experience with similar diesel/heavy equipment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of diesel and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas.
