A respected law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation. This role requires direct client interaction, independent case management, and strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation proceedings, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, managing discovery, and handling motion practice.
Duties:
- Manage litigation cases from initial pleadings through trial
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Represent clients in court hearings and argue motions
- Prepare and present legal documents for trial proceedings
- Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal memoranda
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and legal teams on case strategies
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation
- Ability to handle litigation cases independently and efficiently
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy abilities
- Experience in state and federal court proceedings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (additional state licenses are a plus)
