Job summary

4M Research, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Linux Systems Administrator to join our Huntsville, AL team. The role focuses on implementing STIGs, maintaining compliance artifacts, and supporting RMF accreditation for an Army Program of Record. Expect to update key security documents and perform vulnerability assessments.

The candidate will operate in a DoD environment with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and eMASS-based POA&M management, and may travel up to 25% as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 7+ years of professional experience in lieu.
• Proven experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in operational environments.
• Experience applying DoD STIGs and performing system hardening activities.
• Experience supporting virtualized environments, particularly RHEL OpenShift.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent per DoD 8570.01.
• SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

4M Research is seeking aMid-Level Linux Systems Administratorto join our team in Huntsville, AL.

The Administrator will be responsible for implementing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), maintaining system compliance artifacts, and conducting day-to-day system operations in support of mission requirements and supporting program needs. The Administrator shall support system build-out and sustainment activities associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation of an Army Program of Record. Tasks include updating documentation (e.g., System Security Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan), performing FISMA-required artifact maintenance, conducting vulnerability assessments using approved tools, and supporting the Government with the management of POA&M items within eMASS.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in operational environments.
• Demonstrated experience applying DoD STIGs and performing system hardening activities.
• Experience supporting virtualized environments, particularly RHEL OpenShift.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent in accordance with DoD 8570.01.
• SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience conducting STIG and SRG assessments using DISA-approved tools.
• Familiarity with RMF processes, NIST security controls, and eMASS workflows.
• Experience administering additional Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Working knowledge of foundational networking concepts applicable to Linux systems.
• TS/SCI security clearance.
