Job summary

Belay Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level System Engineer to join our intel team in Maryland. You will lead requirements capture, collaborate with the customer, and manage documentation across Jira, Confluence, and Cognos.

You will help transition and decommission data products, while supporting system monitoring and metrics reporting. You will develop architecture diagrams, participate in source-finding activities, and ensure clear definitions of done with the customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 14+ years of Systems Engineering experience or 19+ years with no bachelor's accepted.
• Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Experience developing system requirements with customers.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate with customers.
• Experience documenting technical content and transitioning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage requirements and documentation in Jira and Confluence.
• Update and archive reports in IBM Cognos.
• Evaluate Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows and documentation of data transformations.
• Assist data consumers in validating warehouse data replication.
• Write and update SQL queries to access warehouse data.
• Create system description documents detailing capabilities and transition activities.
• Produce high-level architecture and engineering diagrams of the system.
