Job summary

Vedder Price is seeking a mid-level tax associate for its Chicago office within the Tax & Estate Planning team. You will work closely with shareholders on tax aspects of M&A and related finance, while engaging in business development and client-facing activities.

The firm supports a cohesive, collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on professional development and client service, offering a hybrid work policy with three days in-office and two remote days.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of tax experience in a law firm or 4–5 years in Big 4 accounting focusing on M&A.
• Experience with income tax aspects of M&A and finance is preferred.
• J.D. degree with strong academic background and Illinois admission or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with shareholders and senior attorneys on tax matters for deals.
• Engage in business development and client-facing activities when opportunities arise.
