Job summary

Vedder Price P.C. in Chicago invites a mid-level tax associate to join our Tax & Estate Planning team. You will work closely with shareholders and participate in business development and client-facing activities within a cohesive, multidisciplinary practice that supports your growth.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of tax experience in a law firm or Big 4 M&A, a J.D., and Illinois admission. We offer a hybrid work policy (three days in-office, two days remote), competitive base salary

• 4–5 years of relevant law firm tax experience or 4–5 years of Big 4 accounting firm experience in the M&A area.
• Experience in the income tax aspects of M&A and Finance is preferred.
• J.D. degree and strong academic background; admission in Illinois in good standing.

About You

• You have 4-5 years of relevant law firm tax experience or 4-5 years of Big 4 accounting firm experience in the M&A area;
• You ideally have experience in the income tax aspects of M&A and Finance;
• You have a J.D. degree and strong academic background; and
• You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, Illinois.

Compensation

• $285,000 - $320,000 annual base salary
