A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Mid-Level Fund/Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in secured and unsecured lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and other complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bilateral financings. Duties:

  • Represent clients in a variety of lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, and bridge loans.
  • Manage and execute complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bilateral financing transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to secured and unsecured lending transactions, including loan agreements, security agreements, and related ancillary documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support transaction structuring and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful transaction outcomes.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on regulatory and compliance issues related to fund and leveraged finance.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of financing agreements and resolve legal issues as they arise.
  • Stay current on industry trends, legal developments, and market practices related to fund finance and leveraged finance.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with legal requirements throughout the transaction process.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in fund finance and/or leveraged finance.
  • Solid experience with secured and unsecured lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, and bridge loans.
  • Strong law school academic credentials and relevant law firm experience.
