Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer - SATCOM in Colorado Springs to contribute to secure, scalable satellite ground communications. You will help design backend services, manage PostgreSQL schemas, and participate in frontend tasks using TypeScript.

The role emphasizes collaboration with MBSE/test teams, Agile delivery, and robust deployment via containerization. You will work on platform services enabling secure data transport and integration, applying modern MBSE

Qualifications

  • Degree/experience mix as listed: 7+ years with Associate, 5+ with Bachelor, 3+ with Master; additional 4 years in lieu of a degree.
  • Must hold minimum Top-Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and maintain clearance.
  • Proficient Python backend development.
  • Experience in PostgreSQL design, SQL queries, triggers, and stored functions.
  • Experience with microservice architecture and security (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
  • Frontend development experience with TypeScript and modern UI frameworks.
  • Experience with Git-based source control (GitHub or GitLab).
  • Solid understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Knowledge of event- or message-driven architectures.
  • RBAC/ABAC access-control concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop backend services in Python (APIs, automation, service components).
  • Build and maintain PostgreSQL structures (queries, triggers, functions).
  • Implement microservices and security (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
  • Contribute to frontend using TypeScript and modern frameworks.
  • Participate in Agile practices: sprint planning, code reviews, iterative delivery.
  • Assist in production issue investigations and resolutions.
  • Use Git-based workflows and collaborate on code reviews.
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for containerized deployments.

Job description

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting frontend development using TypeScript and modern UI frameworks.
  • Experience with Git‑based source control systems, including GitHub or GitLab.
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and software development practices.
  • Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Working knowledge of message‑driven or event‑driven software development concepts.
  • Working knowledge of RBAC and ABAC access‑control techniques.
