About The Role
Redhorse is looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the DoD’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). You will develop and maintain software solutions within the Advana platform, supporting AI/ML capabilities for applications like GAMECHANGER, Contract Search, and JBook Search. This role offers growth opportunities and collaboration with AI and data science experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for AI support capabilities, including architectures, APIs, frameworks, and libraries
• Develop front-end and back-end components for prototypes and tools
• Maintain and guide development of shared libraries and tools
• Update and fix bugs in existing applications, ensuring security and performance
• Collaborate with clients and requirements owners to build product lines
• Create plans, roadmaps, and software design strategies
• Develop strategies for rapid AI prototyping, including Generative AI
• Work with data scientists, UX designers, and developers to create scalable AI solutions
• Document requirements and review documentation from other teams and vendors
• Optimize software designs for performance and security, and develop profiling tools
• Stay informed on AI system architectures and trends
• Document reference architectures and compliance standards
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize software for scalability and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required Experience/Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree + 5-7 years experience, or Master’s + 3 years
• Programming in Python, JavaScript, and at least one more language (Java preferred)
• Experience with React or Vue
• Experience with Node.js, Spring, Spring Boot, Django, Flask
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
• DevSecOps experience with CI/CD tools
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks like SQLAlchemy and databases like PostgreSQL
• Experience with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch and Neo4J
• Knowledge of modern microservices architectures and front-end frameworks
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to synthesize requirements and recommend technical solutions
• DoD 8140 IAT Level III (preferred)
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
