GSI Environmental Inc. in Olympia, WA seeks a mid-level Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Geologist to join our Olympia office. Remote work for locations across Washington state is an option.

The role involves coordinating fieldwork, managing remediation systems, budgeting, and delivering high-quality technical reports while collaborating with senior staff and clients. Candidates should have 6–8 years of experience, a relevant degree, and GIT/EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience (preferred).
• GIT or EIT certification required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; data analysis and programming in R/Python a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and data-management skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Scope, coordinate, and manage fieldwork for environmental projects.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
• Develop and track project budgets.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals.
• Interact with clients, regulators, and senior staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and laboratories; oversee subcontractors.
• Analyze environmental data and produce QA/QC outputs.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team goals.
• Contribute to collaboration across technical experts and project managers.
