Job summary

Ryder in Rock Tavern, NY is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician. The role includes working second shift (3:30 pm – 12:00 am), performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, and earning competitive hourly pay with various bonuses. Paid training and tool/boot allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification or Post Secondary degree preferred.
• Basic tools required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
• Performs other support duties as needed.
