Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Design Engineer for our Dayton, Ohio office. You will develop designs from concept to final issue, prepare specs and estimates, and coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver design-build and traditional projects.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior engineers, collaboration across design staff, and active participation in industry activities. PE license is preferred; experience with DOT projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 4–9 years of relevant engineering design experience.

LJB Engineering is a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with multiple business lines including Transportation, Water Resources, Geospatial and Site Design, Buildings Structure Design and Safety/Fall Protection Design/Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.

We are currently seeking a candidate to fill a full-time Mid-Level Design Engineer position in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $140,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Mid-Level Design Engineer Essential Functions

• Develop engineering designs for projects from preliminary concepts through final design.
