Schnabel Engineering's Boise, Idaho office is seeking a Mid-Level CAD Designer to support our engineering group. We are looking for a motivated candidate with 2+ years of CAD design experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for professional growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CAD design experience in a consulting engineering firm or production design environment.
• Proficiency with the latest version of AutoCAD.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks is preferred.
• Experience with additional software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor, Bluebeam, or Excel is a plus.
• General understanding of civil, structural, or mechanical design principles; ability to support multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D CAD drawings (plans, profiles, sections) for contract documents per design staff guidance.
• Develop 3D models to illustrate complex structures using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and other tools.
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines for coordinated, constructible designs.
• Take initiative on design tasks and work independently when needed.
• Maintain drawing files, CAD standards, and related documents.
