The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Mid-Level Automotive Technician in the Washington area. In this role, you will engage in hands-on diagnostics, routine inspections, and maintenance of vehicles while promoting excellent customer service. The position requires at least 1 year of relevant automotive experience, valid driver's license, and authorization to work in the U.S. Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $24.06 per hour, along with benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections, system diagnostics and problem-solving.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service and provide clear communication about vehicles.
• Document all work performed and report safety issues immediately.
• Promote teamwork for timely guest care during operation hours.
• Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting, standing, and bending.

Role Overview

As a Mid‑Level Automotive Technician, you will gain hands‑on experience diagnosing technical issues and delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem‑solving including brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, provide clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles, guide and mentor junior technicians.
• Document all work performed on the repair order and report safety issues immediately.
• Promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ASE Certification.
• Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
• Electrical, air conditioning, and primary or advanced fuel ignition experience.

Shift Information

Depending on location, stores may be open 7 days a week, including weekends and some holidays.
