Overview

Mid-Level Automotive Technician at Goodyear's Auto Service Center. Gain hands‑on experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles, while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Working Hours

Retail hours, including weekends and some holidays. Shifts vary by location; normal workday is typically 9–5 (though some stores stay open 7 days a week).

Starting Pay & Benefits

• Starting pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour; base pay may vary by experience, qualifications, and location.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services: routine inspections, maintenance, systems diagnostics, and problem‑solving.
• Conduct brake repairs, fluid flushes, wheel alignments, and tire installations.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing feedback on vehicle status.
• Document all work performed on each repair order.
• Report safety issues to management and promote teamwork during all operating hours.
• Adhere to company policies on vehicle care, operation, and safety.
• Maintain manual dexterity for light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting as required.
• Mentor junior automotive technicians and provide guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience, including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ASE Certification.
• Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
• Experience with electrical, air conditioning, and primary/advanced fuel ignition systems.
