Job summary

Sames Auto Group in Laredo, TX is seeking an Automotive Technician – Level B (Intermediate Technician) to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics to manufacturer standards, building on foundational skills and supporting the service department.

You will handle routine maintenance, brake, suspension, cooling systems, alignments, and diagnostics under supervision, document repairs clearly, and pursue ASE certifications; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years automotive repair or maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of brake, suspension, alignment, and cooling systems.
• Basic to intermediate diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• ASe certifications preferred or actively working toward certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned repairs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and intermediate repairs.
• Handle brake systems and hydraulic repairs.
• Work on suspension components and alignments.
• Assist with cooling systems and radiators.
• Conduct inspections and document findings clearly.
• Support Diagnostics under guidance from senior technicians.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, safe condition.
• Communicate repair needs to Service Advisors.
