Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with technology and intellectual property law expertiseto join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience handling complex technology transactions and intellectual property matters.

Duties:

Draft and negotiate a wide range of technology and intellectual property agreements, including:

• Software licensing and cloud services agreements
• Software, data, and IP development agreements
• Reseller and distribution agreements
• E-commerce agreements
• AI/ML development, licensing, and service agreements
• Media, entertainment, and content licensing deals
• Global IT, facilities, and BPO transactions
• Digital infrastructure deals (data centers and telecom)

Conduct IP due diligence for M&A, private equity, and other corporate transactions.

As needed, provide legal advice and support on drug and medical device development, data privacy and security, and government services.

Collaborate with internal teams and offices on cross-functional projects.

Manage projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in technology and intellectual property law.
• Experience with complex technology transactions, preferably including software licensing and IP development agreements.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC (or eligible for admission).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications (if applicable):

• Relevant certifications in technology or intellectual property law (e.g., Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Licensing Professional (CLP)) preferred.
