Job summary

Boutique Environmental Law Firm in the Midwest seeks a mid/level associate attorney with at least three years of experience. The position can be fully remote and focuses on environmental risk in real estate transactions, financing, and redevelopment, including Phase I ESAs.

Candidates should have strong writing skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a JD plus a degree in environmental science or geology.

Qualifications

Boutique environmental law firm is seeking a mid/level associate attorney with at least three (3) years' experience. The firm is based in the Midwest but the position can be fully remote. Competitive candidates will have experience:

• - Evaluating and advising clients on environmental risks related to real estate transactions, financing, and redevelopment including experience reviewing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• - Negotiating environmental insurance, and environmental aspects of purchase and sale agreements, leases, and loan documents
• - Overseeing environmental consultants on investigations and remediations
• - Working with regulatory agencies to achieve regulatory closure and other protections
• - Direct experience with sophisticated clients
