Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Mid-Level AI Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI to design, build, and deploy AI-enabled applications within a production setting. You will work across AI product and platform teams, delivering reliable features with responsible AI considerations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AI/ML or Generative AI, strong software fundamentals, and experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SWE, data science, or related field.
• 3–6 years of software development, with 2+ years building AI/ML or Generative AI apps.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience developing REST APIs and distributed services with cloud tooling (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Strong fundamentals: design patterns, testing, CI/CD, security, observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and services that support real business outcomes.
• Build and integrate Generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), including prompt and tool orchestration.
• Develop AI agents, workflows, prompts, tools, and orchestration frameworks that can operate in production.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and knowledge retrieval solutions to improve answer quality and relevance.
• Evaluate, benchmark, and optimize AI model performance, quality, cost, and latency while adding automated testing, monitoring, and observability.

Our client, an industry-leading organization is seeking a Mid-Level AI Engineer to join their team. As a Mid-Level AI Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting AI product and platform teams. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML or Generative AI applications, and the drive to deliver production-ready features with quality, reliability, and responsible AI practices.

Job Title: Mid-Level AI Engineer

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Pay Range: $50-$54/hr

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and services that support real business outcomes.
