Zulu Pods in Northampton, MA is seeking a mid-level mechanical design engineer to advance our ZPOD technology and explore new markets by designing, prototyping, and testing products. The role focuses on fluid mechanics, electromechanical devices, and solving complex engineering challenges with collaboration across engineers.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in fluidics, mechanical packaging, and related tech, plus a strong CAD/analysis background (SolidWorks, CFD/FEA).

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in fluidics, mechanical packaging, and related systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong CAD/analysis background with experience in aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate fluidic components and systems for aerospace applications.
• Integrate subsystems into larger platforms with attention to performance and reliability.
• Plan and execute tests including data acquisition and post-processing to validate designs.
• Document requirements, design decisions, and test results clearly for manufacturing.
