Job summary

Cintel, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our Redstone Arsenal team in Huntsville, AL. You will design, deploy, and maintain DevSecOps infrastructure, develop Python utilities, and manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Ansible.

The role requires a TS clearance, Linux administration experience, and a strong background in cybersecurity operations within Agile/DevSecOps environments. Expect hands-on work with monitoring tools and cloud-based deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience administering Linux-based environments.
• Experience developing or maintaining applications/scripts for cybersecurity or IT environments.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with Splunk.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and source control practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or Ansible.
• Experience with infrastructure deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, test, certify, operate, patch, and maintain DevSecOps infrastructure.
• Develop Python-based tools to support cybersecurity and automation.
• Use GitHub for source control, branching, code management, and CI/CD workflows.
• Apply Kubernetes and Ansible for container orchestration and config management.
• Configure and manage Linux-based servers in secure environments.
• Test and deploy infrastructure components supporting cybersecurity operations.
• Integrate third-party components and improve processes.
• Automate operations and maintenance tasks to improve efficiency.
• Deploy and configure services using IaaS providers.
• Debug cluster-based architectures and interoperability issues.
• Install and manage open-source monitoring/observability tools.
• Support Splunk and other data/analytics platforms.
• Work in an Agile/DevSecOps environment with Scrum/Kanban.
• Learn and implement tools like Grafana, Cribl, Power BI, and cloud-based services.
