Job summary

Silver Creek Materials, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Equipment Operator (Mid-Day) to support the compost department and move materials safely throughout a large outdoor facility.

You will operate forklifts and other equipment, unload trucks, perform pre/post shift inspections, report issues, and keep work areas clean while following OSHA/MSHA safety procedures in a busy recycling and composting site. This full-time, non-exempt role offers hours 10:00am–8:00pm on weekdays with occasional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is preferred.
• Experience in outdoor industrial, construction, recycling, or aggregate environments is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to transport compost, mulch, and related materials.
• Unload trucks while ensuring product accuracy and quality.
• Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in the yard and loading zones.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
