Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4–7 years of progressive database administration experience with increasing ownership of production environments.
• Proficiency with relational database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, including strong understanding of database structures, principles, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience with database security, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills supporting cross-functional collaboration in enterprise environments.
• Active SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance as required by the client.
• U.S. citizenship and willingness to travel less than 10% of the time.

Aufgaben

• Administer production and non-production instances of platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Design and tune indexing, statistics, and query execution plans to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies and lead periodic recovery tests.
• Implement and review advanced security controls such as encryption, RBAC, auditing to protect data.
• Lead planning and execution of database software upgrades, patching cycles, and migrations.
• Design and support data integration solutions using ETL tools and scripts.
• Perform capacity planning and storage management to balance performance and cost.
• Troubleshoot incidents involving locking, deadlocks, and resource contention.
