This role will be supporting the Naval Research & Development Establishment (NR&DE) organization, which is part of the Decision Advantage Solutions Hub (DASH) Integrated Product Team (IPT). NR&DE comprises 15+ warfare centers in addition to NIWC Atlantic, as well as University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs) and a Federally Funded Research Development Center (FFRDC). The NR&DE has several Communities of Practice (CoPs), whose members are expert representatives from each of the warfare centers. The CoPs are each working on challenges to improve their domain of practice. In many cases, this work is driving requirements for analytics.

The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Enterprise Systems Department focuses on rapidly identifying and implementing affordable Enterprise IT solutions by promoting innovation, developing our personnel and forming strategic partnerships across NIWC Atlantic and with its customers, which include Department of the Navy (DON) Program Executive Offices (PEOs), NIWC LANT ES Department.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering, logistics, and PM support solutions
• Provides automation through development and deployment of modern software-intensive solutions
• Provides hosting for software application and services including private and commercial Cloud services
• Performs install and sustain enterprise systems for the Fleet and DoD
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience analyzing use cases and high level requirements to define lower level requirements sufficient to design and implement data solutions
• Experience analyzing and refining enterprise metrics and business rules in coordination with stakeholders, and identify associated data needs and sources
• Experience establishing and refreshing data architectures/models, data standards, data transformations, and data integrations
• Experience designing, building, publishing, refreshing, and enhancing references that define terms, metrics, business rules, and the like for transparency to business analysts and other consumers
• Experience in designing multiple data visualization techniques, and applying the most appropriate visualization tailored to different audiences
• Experiences related to project planning, recommending timelines and milestones, and identify risk areas; working and consulting with cross-functional teams in the delivery of a product or service; developing analytical models in spreadsheets and using presentation tools to facilitate communication with stakeholders
• 5 years of experience supporting corporate operations functions with data management and analysis
• 3 years of experience in the areas of data management, data analysis, and data visualization
• 3 years Business Intelligence experience in designing and building dashboards, reporting solutions, and data integration using the SAP Business Objects 3.1 (or newer) reporting suite
• Python, SQL, Data modeling, APIs
• Software design, testing, optimization
• Knowledge and skill with AI libraries
• BS degree in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Business Intelligence, Business Administration or Finance, Statistics, or Management Information Systems
  
  

Salary: 115k+ to align with education and experience

Schedule: Remote, but client preference is to be based in New Orleans, LA
