Job summary

IT Minds LLC in Ohio seeks a mid-level Automation Engineer to design, integrate, and validate automated warehouse and packaging systems in a GMP environment, focusing on ASRS, AGVs, and interfacing packaging lines. You will work with Packaging Operations, Warehouse, Quality, CSV, IT/OT, and external vendors to deliver compliant automation solutions.

Responsibilities include commissioning, qualification, and validation activities; developing specifications; ensuring safety and data integrity;

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
• GxP-regulated environment experience and validation expectations.
• Hands-on automation implementation in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with ASRS/AGVs strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IIoT is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the design, logistics, integration, and operational readiness of automated packaging lines interfacing with the warehouse, including ASRS and AGV systems.
• Support the development of equipment and system specifications based on material flow, compliance, and operator needs.
• Lead and support compliance documentation for ASRS, AGVs, and automated warehouse systems.
• Ensure automation system design and operation meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup support activities for new systems.
• Coordinate with QA, CSV, Packaging, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and IT/OT teams to maintain GxP compliance.
