Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Physically capable of meeting job requirements: lifting and moving patients, carrying equipment.
  • Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Ability to work professionally and cooperatively with a diverse range of people.
  • Ability to work nights.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high clinical standards in all aspects of care.

  • Provide convalescent care, transporting patients to and from medical facilities.

Job description

Huron Valley Ambulance is hiring full-time MICU paramedics for our Washtenaw County operations. HVA paramedics are skilled, friendly, and professional - we pride ourselves on the character and caliber of our employees.

Headquartered in Ann Arbor, HVA provides EMS to all of Washtenaw County along with several large-scale special events, including U of M athletics. Our paramedics typically work 12 or 24-hour shifts and provide both emergent and non-emergent transport, delivering patient care under hospital-approved medical protocols. Additional opportunities for paramedics include training in critical care transport and community paramedicine. HVA also has opportunities within their specialty teams including HazMat medical response, technical rescue, honor guard, tactical EMS, and bicycle medic teams.
