The George Washington University Hospital's MICU in Washington, DC invites experienced ICU RNs to join a high‑acuity critical care team. You will care for medically complex patients in a teaching hospital setting, with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• BSN required or currently enrolled.
• Washington, D.C. RN license or eligibility.
• 2 years full‑time (or 4 years part‑time) critical care experience.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based, compassionate care to critically ill medical patients.
• Managing ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and continuous infusions; respond to rapid patient changes.
• Collaborate with intensivists, specialists, respiratory therapists, and care teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Manage complex cases including multi‑organ failure, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
• Support patients and families through critical illness with empathy and education.
• Ensure precise and timely charting of patient care.
• Guide families through disease processes and recovery expectations.
• Contribute to improving ICU outcomes and best practices.
