Job summary

DMA Millwork, based in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Microvellum Engineer to translate architectural drawings and project specs into accurate, production-ready shop drawings and CNC-ready data using Microvellum. This role bridges office, shop, and field to ensure engineered production that meets client expectations.

The ideal candidate will have strong millwork knowledge, read drawings confidently, and coordinate with PMs to deliver submittals and revisions while maintaining quality controls across shop

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in millwork engineering, drafting, or cabinet design.
  • Proficiency in Microvellum.
  • Strong understanding of millwork construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed shop drawings from architectural plans and project specifications.
  • Interpret design intent and resolve constructability issues.
  • Ensure drawings meet company standards, field conditions, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for submittal packages.
  • Create and modify Microvellum assemblies, libraries, and standards; generate cut lists, material reports, and CNC data.
  • Optimize designs for efficient production and material usage.
  • Maintain and improve company-wide Microvellum standards.
  • Work closely with production team to ensure drawings are buildable and efficient.
  • Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues.
  • Support implementation of new products, materials, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Coordinators on submittals, revisions, RFIs, field adjustments.
  • Incorporate redlines and approvals into final production drawings.
  • Verify accuracy of dimensions, materials, and hardware selections.
  • Ensure consistency between shop drawings, CNC output, and field installation requirements.

Compensation & Benefits (Typical Range)
