Vega Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a specialized MicroStrategy BI Developer for our direct client in Reston, VA. The role requires hands-on development and BI architecture leadership, with travel to the client site a few times per month in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of MicroStrategy experience, strong SQL skills, and experience with data warehousing, OLAP, and big data environments. You will mentor teammates and drive reporting initiatives across the BI stack.

Qualifications

• Fluent in SQL with ability to read/write complex queries and procedures.
• Experience as BI architect: lead reports, data modeling, access control.

Vega Consulting is Hiring! MicroStrategy BI Developer for our direct client located in Reston, VA. This is a hybrid position that will require candidates to travel to the client site located in Reston, VA a few times a month. Seeking candidates that live within a commutable distance to Reston, VA.

MicroStrategy will be responsible for administering BI tools and integrate with Big Data in the Cloud.

This is a Specialized MicroStrategy Developer BI position. We are seeking a specialized technical leader, responsible for the operational excellence, security, and modernization of enterprise business intelligence (BI) platforms.

Responsibilities

• Must have 6 + years of MicroStrategy dev. experience.
• Hands-on developer who can also act as a BI architect: set up access, work with data modeling and analyst teams, lead report building
• Able to train and mentor team members new to MicroStrategy
• 6+ years of recent, hands-on, MicroStrategy Platform experience, including: Advanced Analytics Reports, Visual Insight Dashboards and Report Services Document creation. Fluent in SQL and able to read and write complex queries, views and stored procedures. Experience in core Business Intelligence/ Data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web, Client/ Server, OLAP, etc. Experience with Big Data environments (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, etc.) Experience working with capturing reporting on Current and Historical Data. Experience working with Transformations, Complex reports, Report Services Documents (Dashboards), Rolling Metrics, Nested Metrics, Relationship Filters, VLDB Properties (multi-pass sql, hints, etc) Strong technical and non-technical problem solving skills Healthcare Experience a Plus

Good Communication Skills Required (verbal And Written)
