Nutanix Systems Engineer - 90 day Contract to hire perm (this job will 100% role perm with the customer)

100% Remote, but must live in the DFW area

• Assist in the design, configuration, administration, and lifecycle management of the Nutanix Hyper-converged infrastructure.

• Design, build, maintain, and support 400+ Microsoft Windows servers and 50+ Linux servers in an enterprise environment that is 95% virtualized with some physical infrastructure.

• Participate in an on-call 24x7 rotation schedule.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of technical work experience or IT Bachelor’s degree; 4 years of technical work experience
• Must possess advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Microsoft or Nutanix certification is preferred; Nutanix or other hyper-converged infrastructure experience is required.
• Strong understanding of hardware, security, and configuration management
• Strong understanding of SAN or other storage technologies is required.
• 5+ years’ experience with Active Directory administration, as well as Azure AD
• 3+ years’ experience administering, supporting, and troubleshooting IIS
• Demonstrated scripting skills in PowerShell
• Experience working with and supporting hundreds of retail locations is preferred.
• Direct involvement in supporting and maintaining 24/7/365 production environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Information Security best practices is required.
