Job summary

King & Spalding is seeking a Microsoft Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise security across Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, Intune, and related services.

You will build detection logic, alert rules, automation, and runbooks within Microsoft Sentinel and Defender, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen overall security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or info systems.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, Intune, and 365 security.
• Strong understanding of identity, endpoint, cloud, email, data protection, and threat detection.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft security platforms across Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, and related services.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and configurations to reduce risk.
• Investigate alerts, analyze logs, and drive remediation with incident response teams.
