Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Specialist in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) for an 18+ month contract with a leading Financial Services client.

You will consult on complex initiatives, design and develop Power Apps and automated workflows, and integrate data across SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, and SQL to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent.
• 2+ years in operations/process management or operational excellence.
• 2+ years hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development.
• Experience developing Power Apps (Canvas/Model-Driven).
• Experience building Power Automate workflows.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, SQL, and enterprise data integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Business Execution.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted challenges for in-depth evaluation.
• Contribute to resolution of complex situations meeting compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with client personnel.
• Drive process improvement through automation and low-code development.
• Develop and maintain operational metrics, reporting, and dashboards.
• Design, build, test, and support Power Apps solutions.
• Develop automated workflows with Power Automate.
• Integrate apps with SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, SQL, and other data sources.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and solution demonstrations.
• Document solution architecture and support procedures.
• Ensure alignment with governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide end-user training and adoption support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• 2+ years of operations, business process management, or operational excellence experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
• Experience developing Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-Driven Apps).
• Experience building Power Automate workflows and automations.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, SQL, and enterprise data integrations.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience within Financial Services, Regulatory Operations, Information Management, Risk, Compliance, or Enterprise Content Management.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
• Familiarity with Power Fx, APIs, and custom connectors.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale automation programs.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.

What You Will Be Doing

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Business Execution.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Business Execution challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
• Drive operational efficiency through process improvement, workflow automation and low code application development
• Operations & Process Improvement
• Analyze current operational processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency gains.
• Partner with business stakeholders to document requirements, workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing manual effort, improving controls, and enhancing user experience.
• Develop and maintain operational metrics, reporting, and performance dashboards.
• Power Platform Development
• Design, build, test, and support Microsoft Power Apps solutions, including Canvas and Model-Driven applications.
• Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes and approvals.
• Integrate applications with SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, SQL, and other enterprise data sources.
• Create and maintain forms, screens, business rules, notifications, and workflow logic.
• Support data validation, exception handling, and governance requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and solution demonstrations.
• Document solution architecture, business requirements, and support procedures.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide end-user training and support adoption efforts.
