Qualifications

• 5-8 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and hands-on Delta Lake experience.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data systems across pipelines, lakehouse, and semantic layers.

Design Scalable Data Systems

• Define and evolve architecture across the entire data estate, such as pipelines, Lakehouse, and semantic layers
• Design ingestion frameworks for monitoring, observability, scalability, and reuse
• Make architectural decisions under constraints (cost, SLA, scale) while avoiding technical debt
• Roll up your sleeves to develop and maintain high‑quality, reliable Microsoft Fabric pipelines and notebooks that directly support analytics and reporting.
• Ensure that data is accurate, timely, reliable, and trusted by stakeholders, catching problems before clients do
• Optimize refresh strategies and reduce compute spikes

Lead Data Modeling Standards

• Design advanced dimensional models for multi-client scalability
• Defend modeling decisions in design reviews
• Ensure consistency and reuse across the platform

Drive Engineering Excellence

• Act as a role model for SDLC practices (Git, CI/CD, testing)
• Establish and enforce engineering standards
• Improve development workflows and team efficiency
• Deliver work iteratively with high‑quality and predictability
• Ship frequently in small batch sizes

Lead Through Communication and Influence

• Translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
