Job summary

Marlin Selection is seeking a Data Engineer to join a dynamic team in Athens. You will build world-class data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Medallion Architecture to transform raw data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities include governance, data pipelines, and collaboration with data scientists and analysts to deliver scalable solutions while optimizing performance and cost.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric administration and governance.
• Hands-on expertise with OneLake and Microsoft Purview.
• Strong knowledge of Medallion architecture and Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) and real-time processing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Microsoft Fabric Engineer Associate certification is a big plus!

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Fabric: manage workspaces, capacities, and environments for security, compliance, and performance.
• OneLake Data Management: centralize storage and simplify access for collaboration.
• Implement Medallion Architecture: design Bronze-Silver-Gold layers for scalable data solutions.
• Data Governance: use Microsoft Purview for metadata, lineage, and compliance.
• Build Data Pipelines: develop automated, scalable pipelines for diverse needs.
• Integrate Data Sources: ensure smooth ingestion and transformation from multiple systems.
• Optimize Performance: tune workflows for speed and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate Across Teams: work with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
