Join Arrivia, Inc. as a Microsoft Fabric Data Analyst in Salt Lake City, UT (onsite) and help teams move from data to decisions with governed, AI-enabled reporting. This role focuses on building trusted Power BI experiences on top of Microsoft Fabric data platform semantic models, so stakeholders get clear answers quickly and securely.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and publish Power BI reports that consume Fabric semantic models using DirectLake and Import modes.
- Turn business questions into logical data models and intuitive, clearly labeled report layouts.
- Write and optimize DAX measures that support the KPIs the business depends on.
- Gather, document, and refine reporting requirements in collaboration with business partners.
- Implement row-level and object-level security within semantic models to meet governance standards.
- Validate reports against source data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Create certified datasets and reusable templates so teams can answer their own questions.
- Participate in peer reviews of reports, DAX logic, and model design, and share improvements and learnings.
- Present findings and partner across teams to translate insights into action.
- Use AI tools to sharpen analysis, streamline work, and accelerate delivery.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years building Power BI reports and dashboards in a professional setting.
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, including data modeling.
- AI experience with a demonstrated track record of using AI tools in day-to-day work.
- Working knowledge of DAX for measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence functions.
- Strong data modeling fundamentals, including star schema, relationships, and cardinality.
- SQL experience to query relational sources and validate the data behind reports.
- Power Query and M for Import-mode transformations.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to present data and resolve issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience aligned with membership or loyalty programs is a plus.
- DP-600 Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification preferred and required within 12 months of hire.
