Job summary

iShare Inc in Downtown Houston is seeking a Microsoft 365 Data Security Consultant to strengthen data protection within Microsoft 365, implementing Purview controls, refining DLP policies, and supporting Entra ID access controls.

You will review current protections, configure sensitivity labels, data classification, and encryption, while coordinating with security and IT teams to reduce alerts and improve policy efficacy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in Purview and DLP.
• Experience deploying data protection policies in enterprise M365.
• Knowledge of Entra ID and IAM.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender tools.
• Strong communication with clients.

Location: Downtown Houston, TX - onsite Monday-Friday. Employment: Contract | Immediate start

We are looking for a consultant to help strengthen data security across Microsoft 365. The work includes implementing Microsoft Purview controls, improving DLP policies, and supporting identity and access security.

Required Experience

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ years working directly with Microsoft Purview and DLP.
• Hands-on experience deploying data protection policies in an enterprise Microsoft 365 environment.
• Understanding of Entra ID and identity and access management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender security tools.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with clients.

Preferred

Microsoft security certification, PowerShell experience, or experience supporting regulated industries.
