Job summary

Crux Subsurface, Inc. is seeking a Micropile Driller to safely drill and install micropile foundations according to engineering specifications and Crux procedures.

You will operate specialized drilling equipment and complete required field documentation, supporting remote and challenging environments under IBEW representation. The role requires setting up and aligning drill rigs, conducting tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Driver License with clean record; Class A CDL with tanker preferred.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Basic Rigging and Signaling training.
• Ability to accurately complete drilling documentation.
• Prior experience with helicopter-supported, track-mounted, and truck-mounted drilling operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform drilling and installation of micropile foundations per specifications.
• Operate track-, truck-, barge-, or helicopter-portable drill rigs.
• Conduct micropile testing and install caps per engineering requirements.
• Complete daily drill reports, time-sheets, borehole logs, and equipment inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment and ensure only qualified personnel operate it.
• Operate ancillary equipment (telehandler, Morooka carrier, mini excavator, grout batch plant, crane).
• Follow Crux and project safety procedures (JSAs, tailboards, PPE).
• Restore and exit drill sites per client expectations.
• Work in accordance with IBEW agreements and jurisdictional requirements.
