Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas, a leader in power systems, seeks an experienced engineer to design EMS optimization, real-time control, and protection-coordinated control for utility-grade microgrids. You will translate requirements into deployable control functions and ensure safe operation across grid-connected and islanded modes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Controls, or related field.
• 3–8+ years of experience in microgrid controls, EMS/supervisory control, real-time control, and/or protection-coordinated control design.
• Strong understanding of inverter-based resources and microgrid operating modes.
• Experience defining command arbitration across EMS, real-time control, SCADA/HMI, unit controllers and protection relays.
• Professional English proficiency; willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• EMS optimization design and supervisory control implementation.
• Develop real-time control algorithms for grid-connected and islanded operation.
• Coordinate protection-aware constraints and interlocks.
• Interface data models and system integration documentation.
• Support SIL/HIL validation and field testing.
