Microbulk Service Technician

Location: Newark, NJ / Bethlehem, PA

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Microbulk Service Technician to join our team in the Bethlehem area. The technician is responsible for tank repair, maintenance, and removal of gaseous, cryogenic, and propane storage units. The role involves interaction with project managers, sales teams, customers, contractors, engineers, and inspectors regarding installation and maintenance at customer sites. The coverage area extends from Bethlehem to parts of Philadelphia.

Pay Rate: $33.22 per hour; after one year, the rate increases to $39.09 per hour.

Responsibilities (1st Shift)

• Travel frequently to customer sites for repairs and preventative maintenance on Microbulk units
• Diagnose problems and failures, and identify replacement needs
• Perform repairs on various items, systems, and components of Microbulk units
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition after repairs
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing functionality
• Request equipment and supplies necessary for installation and repair
• Manage inventory and shipping of parts to other technicians in the region
• Arrange shipment of tanks to meet job schedules
• May require planned and unplanned overnight travel
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic tool knowledge and mechanical aptitude are a plus
• Experience with pipefitting and brazing is a plus
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related driving convictions within the last ten years
• Willingness to travel overnight is required
