UMass Amherst in Amherst, MA is seeking a Departmental Assistant for the Rich Lab within the College of Natural Sciences. This full-time, on-site position supports research activities across one or multiple projects, performing data collection and administrative tasks in a dynamic laboratory setting.

The role requires an Associate's degree (or Bachelor's) with related experience, strong teamwork, and meticulous data handling.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn lab, fieldwork and research methods, and ability to work well on a team and independently in challenging physical conditions and sometimes stressful scenarios.
• Strong adaptability, communicative, cooperative, and detail oriented. Strong administrative skills
• Ability to acquire knowledge of research methods and use them appropriately.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills.
