Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, Indiana is seeking a Microbiology Quality Lab Associate I to perform complex routine sampling and testing in support of the Microbiology department. The role reports to a Microbiology Supervisor and involves documenting work in a laboratory setting, handling lab chemicals, and potential overtime as needed.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a science field (Microbiology preferred) and experience in GMP environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, preferably Microbiology.
• Previous GMP-regulated environment experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to use enterprise software (e.g., JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise).

Responsibilities

• Performs testing (bioburden, sterility, growth promotion) on finished products and in-process samples.
• Conducts investigations for out-of-specification results and documents findings.
• Records data in LIMS and participates in continuous improvement activities.
